Last week I mentioned that people were questioning my ability to write properly and I used the excuse that I only went to Fearns, well let me tell you of some educated Grammar school members we have at our club,
One young lady didn't know the difference between a changing room full of half dressed cricketers and a christening or so she said.
One gentleman who always complains about my spelling asked me ,
"What happens when it stops reigning Bob?"
There was a rare sighting at last weekends game it was Grandad Michael Hanson he was trying to be inconspicuous by wearing sunglasses all day ,but he fooled nobody, perhaps a word of advice might be wear a WIG.
Talking of sightings I was questioned by local resident Archie Walsh he was concerned about the whereabouts of grounds man Barbour Bolton,
"Haven't seen Tony for a while Bob ,he usually does hundred hours a week"
"He's been spending a lot of time in the Yorkshire Dales"
"Why?"
"I've been told he's been getting the rest of Jack Sugdens wardrobe"
This weekend sees the premature departure of Nathan, (sorry Nathan didn't mean to mention premature in the same sentence as your name)when he plays his last game of the season away to Rishton on Sunday, he leaves to join the New Zealand A squad for a tour of India. I 'm sure everyone would like to thank him for the effort he's put in for Rawtenstall this season and congratulate and wish him well for the tour. Apparently the squad go to the Australian jungle for a training camp first then its off to India,
I asked Nathan"Nhat will happen at the trainig camp?"
"Well were going to the sight were they do I'M A Celebrity Get me out of here"
"How many players are going ?"
"Seventeen I think but SIR Richard said he'd been inundated by e-mails from someone from England wanting to go"
"Who's that?"
"He calls himself the PRINCE"
Going home on the same plane as Nathan will be the Nelson pro Craig McM ILLAN he's going to a wedding can you believe it you tell me if that's not getting short changed.
I got told I was in a seventy's time warp when I questioned the need for agents when signing a pro but what do they do?
I know what the clubs do-
1.sort flights
2.sort accommodation
3.sort car
4.sort work permit
5.sort gym
6.sort sub-pro if injured
7.sort sub-pro,if pro goes home early
8.sort sub pro,if pro comes late(not you Nathan)

Hopefully this blog will be posted on the website Friday when D.D will be out of hospital after his third knee operation, now I don?t know whether Dave is bragging or he's a Manxman but anyway get well soon pal.
Finally there was another sighting last weekend somebody thought they saw Alan Wise it was either that or Are we entering a Victorian period.
