I heard a conversation the other weekend that initially took me aback
"Have you seen them swingers Bob?"
"What do you mean?"
"Down there on that brown bench"
"I think their a little old for that carry on ,ones even got a stick"
"I know that you daft bu***r ,I mean their legs swinging have you not noticed that non of their feet touch the ground when they sit back on the bench"
Probably some of you will be disappointed by the outcome of that tale but we need our Clubmark so just be thankful.
Also got another telling off this time by Kirsty ,
"What did you call me Bet Lynch for Bob , everyone's been calling it me now"?
"Sorry but just be grateful a didn't call you Betty?"
"Bob you fool that's the next hatch down"
Anyway I made a quick exit but I did find it strange that Kirsty was trying on lots of earrings.
On the cricket front the firsts produced a brilliant performance at Rammy, with Payney and Nathan in fine form.
The seconds and thirds both got beat,
This weekend RILES returns from his holiday while Velodrome-Cook -Martin takes a two week break to tour France.
When Vinny broke Barneys record to become the clubs second most successful keeper of all time, I thought wouldn't it be fantastic if we could get a picture of those two plus B.A.M , for the gallery archives ,or better still I had a brainwave why not get in touch with Jack Russell the ex England keeper and artist of renown and get him to do a portrait of all three on canvas. I gave him a ring and explained the situation he replied

"I'd be honoured to do that for three brothers of the glove, there's just one problem?"
"What's that Jack?"
"Well I've been commissioned to do a job for the Kent tourist board and I'm running short of white paint so I'll do BAM and Barney first then Vinny at a later date after my big job if that's OK."
"Yes that would be fine Jack ,but tell me what's the big job?"
"the White cliffs of Dover"
Still no news of the clubhouse, which I personally think is a absolute disgrace to the members ,so if you have any complaints please let me know and we'll put them to print.
